BY GOD'S GRACE, MAY OUR FAMILY TREE BEAR GOOD FRUIT AS WE GROW TO KNOW & LOVE HIM MORE EACH DAY.

MY FARM GIRL

Bread flour on her skirt, goat milk in the jar she just placed on the counter, purple potato ready to plant, and daydreams of raising sheep for wool she can spin and knit with...Elka is a farm girl through and through...and a little Proverbs 31 woman in the making.

She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.
She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household.
With the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.
She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
