AIDA {17...AND A GRADUATE!}


It's true...my baby is not only 17, but a high school homeschool graduate!


Oh, how I've cherished these years.


Aida, you're an amazing friend, faithful daughter, servant to all, and a beloved child of the King.


You are deeply wise beyond your years...always have been.


You are a pillar in our home.

"May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown,
our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace."
Psalm 144:12


 You shine the light of Jesus in your knowing eyes.


You've studied diligently and matured in depths far surpassing simple academics.


You seek to understand people.


The Lord uses that quality in you to encourage others...especially me.


Aida, you've become a God-fearing woman before my eyes.


You are steadfast, peaceful, thoughtful.


You are humble, yet confident in who the Lord has created you to be.


I can see God's hand upon you and I know
He will help you to prosper in all that you do from here.


It seems just yesterday that you and I ran down the beach holding hands,
you spurring on your Mama. Not much has changed there.


And just look at you now, grown and lovely both inside and out, yet still my little girl.


We are SO extremely proud of you, precious daughter!



May the Lord bless you and keep you as you continue to study His Word and know Him more with each passing day. May He be your everything now and always. May His grace shine upon you and His peace overwhelm you as you place your trust in Him. May He use your life in mighty ways for His kingdom and for His glory as you do ALL that you do...for Him.

The Woman Who Fears the Lord

An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.
She seeks wool and flax,
and works with willing hands.
She is like the ships of the merchant;
she brings her food from afar.
She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
he dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.
She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
Her lamp does not go out at night.
She puts her hands to the distaff,
and her hands hold the spindle.
She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.

She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is fine linen and purple.

Her husband is known in the gates
when he sits among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them;
she delivers sashes to the merchant.
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,

and let her works praise her in the gates.
