WELCOME TO THE WORLD BABY JUDE!

On June 26, 2020, we welcomed Jude to the world.

Weighing 7 lb 10 oz...he was...perfect.

Our miracle rainbow baby had finally arrived!

We rejoiced when it was finally time to take our beloved bundle home...

To the world's greatest welcoming committee EVER!

The house was clean, children bathed. It smelled like dinner and a sense of home.

I was so proud of the kids for how well they had held down the fort and gotten along with us gone.

And oh the LOVE that awaited tiny Jude...

Jude's name means "praise to the Lord!" and that's just how we feel!

Can't imagine life without him anymore.

Welcome to the world precious little one.

He's just that dad...

the gentle presence,

generous servant,

the adventurer,

fun dad,

amusement park dad,

cool dad.

He's the guy you can talk with,

try new things with,

play with,

explore with.

He's the bike ride dad,

the giver of good gifts,

the God-fearing leader,

the super fun date.

This father loves to bless his people...

 Consistently showing us all what our Heavenly Father's love feels like...

He is kind, generous, loving, accepting, approachable, gentle, comforting, sacrificial, invested,

compassionate, gracious, forgiving, peaceful, trustworthy, faithful, patient, humble, selfless, safe...

Just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of how my husband exemplifies the love of God.

Brodie, thank you for mentoring our sons.

For showing them how they should be.

How to act like men.

Thank you for loving our daughters so gently.

So graciously.

For showing them how they ought to be treated.

Cherished.

Made to feel special.

Dated.

Treated.

Just the same way you always make me feel.

Brodie, you do this all SO well! And, today on Father's Day, we want to honor you for who you are to all of us. Thank you for the example you set of Christlike love and sacrifice, for providing so faithfully, for sacrificing so often, for loving so unconditionally, and for being all of the things a father should be as our God-fearing leader. Our children are SO blessed to have a dad like you! We ALL love you SO much and we hope that today you feel just as special as you are to each one of us!
