BY GOD'S GRACE, MAY OUR FAMILY TREE BEAR GOOD FRUIT AS WE GROW TO KNOW & LOVE HIM MORE EACH DAY.

FAMILY REUNION

It's a sweet thing to be reunited with family!

(Lots of catching up in these rockers.)

When my sister moved out of state last year, it was a hard goodbye. I love my big sis.

(Willow loves her auntie too.)

But, being together this past week again, it was like we hadn't skipped a beat.

The kids had such a great time together!

I think they officially acclimated to the country life by the end of the week too. :)

(Nature Girl, Day 1!)

We enjoyed slow days, slowly cooked meals (including a traditional "holiday" meal since we don't get to share those regularly anymore), coffee talks (with whipped cream and sprinkles of course), a Doheny beach day, Bananagrams, evening devotion times, fellowship with old and new friends, worship, campfires, bike rides, swings, late night chats, a double birthday party, and lots of outdoor fun!

Special cousins.

Special friends.

Special sister.

Special memories.

Until we meet again...XO!

WILLOW'S TREE

For Willow's 1 year birthday gift, we knew just what we wanted to get for her.

Her weeping willow (destined to be 30-50 feet tall!) will be a beautiful metaphor as our little one grows up with her tree.

(1 year)

We'll take her photo by her willow tree every year on her birthday.
It's nice to finally live somewhere we can start sinking lasting roots.

Willow, may you always trust the Lord and find your confidence in Him, just like a tree planted by water.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Jeremiah 17:7-8

ANIMAL LOVERS

We have some very serious animal lovers in our family...

...always at the chicken coop...

...serious puppy love...

...all creatures, great and small.

Though, the whole chicken thing is still growing on Bea.

But look how far she's come!

Beck...loving it all!

"See Bea! Chickens are FUN!"

Animals are so great for children...

(teaching Happy "sit")

(reassuring Silas with each new addition)

Animals provide non-stop therapy, companionship, and responsibility...

They're also fun with friends.

I'm not sure who will join our family next,

but I am quite sure there will be more animals for these animal lovers to LOVE!

"The righteous care for the needs of their animals."

LILY

She needed a home...so how could we say no?!

And Nova's lifelong dream just came true.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY NOBLE!

Noble is...kind, obedient, gentle, a hard worker, thoughtful, sweet, eager to learn...a noble kind of guy.

Did I mention, he's amazingly buoyant too?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NOBLE!

We ALL love you very much and thank the Lord for you!!

"But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands."
Isaiah 32:8
