Today was a reminder, yet again, to always trust that God provides.
Where He leads, He also paves the way for His will to be accomplished and even the sparrow finds a home.
Where He leads, He also paves the way for His will to be accomplished and even the sparrow finds a home.
"Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may lay her young,at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God."
where she may lay her young,at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God."
Psalm 84:3
Before we began the adoption process, I remember reading somewhere that money should never be a reason not to adopt and I believe it. Everything we have is from God in the first place and although at times we have wondered how, we have never doubted that He would provide financially for our adoption or anything else He calls us to for that matter.
We continue to trust Him with each leg of this journey as we await His plans to accomplish His will. May we never doubt God's goodness, faithfulness, and steadfast love because He cares for us and knows all that we need even before we can ask.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Matthew 6:25-33
Thanking the Lord today for using the vessel of a generous friend to minister to our hearts,
remind us that He is in control, and show us clearly that He always provides.
"He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!"
