Mother's Day...
For so many years it was a day that reminded me of loss and the sorrows that come along with goodbye. But to find myself here and now in a season full of JOY, even amidst the challenges that accompany the beautiful mess of motherhood is...healing.
And, I see it in Him, how His brokenness bled wholeness, how His death brings life. I see Him more clearly through the lens of the loss and I can even be thankful for it now. It is well with my soul and eternity feels all the nearer for the loss of my own mother so young. Brevity of life and the ministry of motherhood fuels my heart to run the race as best as I can and that's all I have to offer...just my best.

So, on this Mother's Day I offer up all of me. May the sacrifices and challenges and joys of the journey be pleasing in His sight.
