It's a beautiful new parenting chapter we've entered into...raising young adults.

It's a season of dedicated prayer for their future endeavors, spouses, ministries, families, and the unfolding of God's will for each one. I find myself committed to the practice of laboring in prayer for my people. The Lord beckons my heart deeply to intercede for theirs, wanting what's best for them, wanting what will bring Him glory through their lives.

It's a dance, this balancing of little ducklings under wings and yet readying others for soaring flight.
I like it.
Even more than I thought I would.
I've loved becoming a new kind of best friend with my children-turned-young adults.
I love watching them discover who they are in Christ.
And it's been a surprise to me how ready I feel to watch them venture out.

And wow, it feels like all I did was blink...
What a privilege it is to trust their judgement as they've grown, to even seek their wisdom on things. I sincerely respect who they're becoming and have already become in their own individual walks with the Lord and I can't wait to see what all else He has for them from here as I marvel at the maturity blooming before my eyes raising up these beloved young adults.
"May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown,
our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace."
