BEA & BECK - 5 YEARS HOME!

It was 5 years ago today, when they flew in from China.

And Bea and Beck came home.

They have been through many surgeries and conquered many obstacles.

I'm so proud of them both!

And I can't imagine my life without their beautiful hearts! And I can't imagine the countless orphaned children who wait for loving, willing families without (literally) crying. And I can't imagine having missed the opportunity to love these 2 precious souls and teach them Jesus and what family and being loved feels like. And I can't imagine not getting to be their Mommy. 

Thank you, Lord, for my Bea and Beck and for these 5 years home!

"Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute;

Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

BACK TO THE BEACH

It's always a treat to go back to the beach.

To our special spot where we have so many memories.

It was a sweet day with our neighbors we miss.

And of course the puppies came too.

You're a special place, Beach Road.

PUPPIES!

Brodie has been waiting for the right time...

And the right puppies for his next venture.

And he finally found them...

On a ranch down a long dirt road...just waiting to be his.

So he brought them home and got them all cleaned (and fluffed) up.

And well fed.

He's just a little bit smitten with his 2 new sweeties.

We all are!

They are precious!!

Elka has a hard time containing her adoration!

They'll be joining our livestock guardian crew and they fit right in.

And...hopefully sometime next year we'll be having even more PUPPIES!

CONCERT + COMPASSION

We journeyed to San Diego to a for K&C concert featuring Compassion International.

We definitely made a memory.

It was an inspiring show.

And deeply heartwarming to see so many Compassion children get sponsored.

It's pretty neat to see artists with a platform, use their voice for those who have none.

Another reminder for us all.

"Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.

Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy."
