It's been a sweet, sweet Love Month as always...
Filled with warm traditions...like our heart-shaped pink pancakes,
red roses,
heart avocado toast (a new tradition this year, thank you Aida!),
personal heart-shaped pizzas,
and special PJs for Valentine's night.
It's been a season of saturating in God's Word and focusing on His perfect, amazing, compassionate, merciful, gracious, forgiving, comforting, kind, steadfast, sacrificial LOVE and how that fuels ours. It's been a time to consider how we can be encouraged toward greater love like His for others, of understanding what love is and what it is not and putting all these things into practice.
"Love is patient and kind;
love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never ends."
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
It's been a time to thank God for my marriage and for the God-fearing man He chose for me.
(Wind and Sea Valentine's date)
I pray that the reverence we communicate for marriage inspires our children to seek the same! I hope their love for the Lord and for others increases because of our time in the Word and prayer. I'm thankful for our Love Month and for the good fruit that comes from it each year and I'm deeply thankful for the love of Christ that compels us in every way. He is so faithful...He is love.
"We love because he first loved us."
