SPRING IS IN THE AIR

And with all the closures and needing to stay home right now, it's been good timing.

To prepare for baby.

Spend time outdoors after so much rain!

Go walking (and talking) in all kinds of different weather.

Marveling at the beauty of God's creation all around us!

It's been a time to finish outdoor projects.

And enjoy them.

To plant.

.

To weed.

And spring clean!

We have welcomed more baby goats.

And spent a little extra time experimenting in the kitchen.

It's been a time to daydream and make plans for future farming endeavors.

Rethinking our sustainability and the hobbies we all love here at home.

It's a season of new life, bringing encouragement at just the right time.

And so we give thanks to God for His provision as spring is in the air.

"He changes times and seasons."

BABY GOATS!

My farm girl has been waiting for her kids for months, checking her mama goats diligently.

And yesterday it finally happened!

We all went running outside to meet the new additions.

1 doe. 1 buck.

Looking just like their parents...SO precious!

They bonded well with their proud mama, Daffodil, Elka's first Nubian.

It was a really sweet moment.

There are few baby animals as fun to watch as goat kids, with their dancing and leaping and tumbling.

And Scout watched on as well, their designated guardian for now.

(SUCH a good boy!)

Aww, we're all so happy for Elka to finally have welcomed her first Nubian baby goats!

And there are more, Lord willing, yet to come...
