"He's so cute!!!!!!!!!" the text came through.
"Was crying but not now....Loved his cars!!!"
Sweet words of a union so close to my heart, yet across a vast ocean...encouraging from the start!
We were told that Beck was sensitive. We were prepared for a tough day.
But he did surprisingly well!! And wouldn't leave his daddy's side...
...or lap all day.
They went out for noodles and Beck ate well.
Bea took him under her wing. They're so cute together.
He even gave Elka kisses.
They both did!
They went for a walk to buy fruit at the market.
(My favorite photo so far :))
And even checked out the pool...
...which scared Beck so they went back to the room, poor buddy.
His heart was racing and Daddy knew, so he stayed close.
Then Beck threw up on him. Brodie says he has that effect on the kids.
So they hung out in the room the rest of the day, low key.
Bea took it upon herself to open Beck's cars for him (which is very serious business by the way).
They wrestled and played and simply got to know one another.
They ate pizza in the room and Beck had his first bath.
Then he snuggled down to sleep with his doting daddy by his side.
(Bea made sure Beck had her favorite book for bedtime. Such a good big sister.)
Though there is much to adjust to, sweet Beck has done extremely well for day one.
He is a precious boy, already attaching tightly to Daddy, praise the Lord!
(Goodnight my son...Mommy loves you so much already!)
Bea has taken the role of mama hen and seems to feel confident in her place in Daddy's heart too. We couldn't ask for more after a rocky start last week. Progress is cherished after tough beginnings and the future is bright with hope! It was a special Gotcha Day!
