BY GOD'S GRACE, MAY OUR FAMILY TREE BEAR GOOD FRUIT AS WE GROW TO KNOW & LOVE HIM MORE EACH DAY.

LITTLE MOMMIES & DADDIES

They're such little mommies and daddies, the big kids in our home.

Really even, the younger ones take on the same role...a benefit of observation...
and simple logistics because of our family dynamics.

They enjoy accompanying their siblings to doctor appointments for reassurance.

It blesses my heart to see compassion grow through their hospital experiences.

And there will be many more in the days to come for our beloved Bea and Beck.

Our little mommies and daddies love snuggling down tired (or not so tired) small people.

(India doesn't tire easily.)

(Bea does.)

(Beck too.)

They're often offering hugs or bandages for owies or sensitive hearts,

or helping with schoolwork and other life lessons.

They play "family" constantly, picking sons and daughters, emulating what will be...

...and what already is in many ways.

Nova has an especially soft spot for Beck,

as does India for the cat...

...who plays dead when she eagerly offers tender loving care, then makes a break for it.

(A track back through old photos of Silas as a kitten reminds
us that this has always been his plight...and her mission.)

That said, India, though the baby of the family, is an incredibly nurturing
little mama, always looking (hopefully) for someone who needs a hug.

It's a great pleasure of mine in my day-in-the-life moments to stop, savor,
and enjoy watching the children care for one another...always has been.

I appreciate allowing them the time to just...be...with each other so that such moments take place.

And one day they'll be big...and I will remember with dear fondness these days of little mommies and daddies.
