Last week in the midst of our sickness and extended cabin fever, we decided one sunny California winter day to hit the beach and breeeeath in some fresh ocean air. It was a welcome reprieve from our quarantine and I think we all felt much better because of it!
We spent the day at one of our favorite beaches, hoping to show Noble the ocean and some surfing, definitely not realizing how much HE would LOVE the ocean!
We couldn't get him off the board from the minute we arrived. The kids were so good with him! It was a day full of nostalgic memories and special firsts...
Noble literally walked straight into the water and fell flat on his face fully clothed from the first minute his toes touched the sea! Of course, we thought the day was over right then and there, but instead, to our surprise, he laughed at himself and remained wet the rest of the day, borrowed Nova's wetsuit, and even ended up catching his first waves ever with Daddy (upon his request) by the end of the day. It was awesome...and his Daddy was just a little proud of his son.
(First wave ever...)
(Still smiling...)
We couldn't help ourselves in all the excitement that our little boy loved the ocean and surfing as much as we do, so we swung by a wetsuit outlet on the way home to see if they had any teeny tiny full suits in stock. Let's just say, Noble was pretty stoked on surfing and even more stoked (so it seemed) on his new wetsuit...which he insisted on wearing out of the store and all the way home. :)
It was a good day...
