1000 PIECES

A few years back, we stumbled upon a new hobby of putting together puzzles with many pieces. Our latest puzzle is always out and we find ourselves gathering around for a few minutes or sometimes up to hours collaborating on our project.

We love our puzzle time together. It's sweet and mellow teamwork.
Sometimes we talk and get into deep conversations...sometimes we sing...sometimes we are completely silent.
That's the beauty of it.

Our favorite puzzles are Hometown Collection 1000 pieces. We collect them.
We empty our pieces out on an extra large cookie sheet and build on a cork board to keep our puzzle mobile.

We love the meandering of hanging around the kitchen table, living room floor, or snuggled up on a bed...a gift of Quantity Time At Home. It's a blessing I'm deeply thankful for, this time to just be with our kids. It goes awfully fast and I don't want to miss it.

Perhaps as they get older, I'll find puzzles with more and more pieces just to spend elongated time with them, cozied up together. For now, this is the way we do it, the gathering vessel, the family glue in our down time...this 1000 pieces.

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
