After completing our spontaneous loft project, we figured while we were at it...
Why not build a reading nook under the stairs as well?
So, we repurposed some wood we already had
(with the efforts of our trusty "helpers", but of course!),

...built a bench frame,
...added some wainscoting, molding, and paint leftovers from the loft,
...padded it with one of our favorite quilts plus some pillows,
...and voila!
A new something-from-nothing reading nook is born...and for nearly free!
