As God's will should have it, my surgery yesterday was not only "unsuccessful", it was actually impossible due to unforeseen circumstances once the doctors entered my kidney. Talk about bummer news to wake up to in recovery!
I did not fear (for God was with me)!
I don't fear now (for He always will be)!

With future health challenges and pain in plain view (including now), it would be natural to be intimidated, and I am to a certain degree. But far exceeding is my TRUST in the Lord who planned this for me, who loves me, who holds me through it all!
These the words I wrote yesterday from intermittent sleep:
"As I have been here saturating in hymns and sleep and thought and prayer, I've realized what satan means to harm me is only growing more fire to trust the Lord and serve Him with even more boldness and abandon!! Isn't that just amazing?! Genesis 50:20!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!! OH GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD! HIS STEADFAST LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!!"
Me, the girl who used to crumble under fear. I wrote that! I felt that! I feel that now!
Oh the enemy, he has tried and will likely continue to try to destroy my faith, but God has had plans for GOOD all along through this trial and He is working miraculous wonders in my heart! He is bringing decades of pain to a fruitful harvest. He is turning fear to great FAITH in the facing of my giants head on! I bet the adversary didn't see that coming when he groveled for permission...
...but God did. He always does.
The fire that burns to love and trust Him more, the ammunition to go even deeper, it's only fanned stronger to blaze through this war and the battle belongs to The Lord! It is HIS to fight as I, His child, rest confident in my Defender...still.
