For Boden's birthday, he reeeeeeally wanted to get a baby chick.
So, we made a plan and waited for his special day to add a few new family members to the crew.
SO FUN!!
SO FUN!!
Happy everyone!
When Aida saw the bin of Bantams, she couldn't resist and bought herself a new pet project.
We think they are Lavender Cochins with their little fluffy feet...We'll see! She plans to build them
their own coop and care for all their needs herself. We think it's a great idea full of responsibility!!
All the kids learn responsibility through our animal endeavors, which we love!

Precious Nova.
(Thanks for the Mom and Dad in action pic, Aida...and Brodie is taller than me I see!)
When we got home, everyone gathered around to enjoy our new babies...even the baby.
They will not be hurting for attention and handling. That's for sure!!
Lily has been so curious but also so gentle with them.
(Good girl, Lily.)
There's something about chicks that sings the sweet song of spring.
They really are so fun (and valuable to us) that I think we just might add a few more.
To be continued...
"For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."
Song of Solomon 2:11-12
